Martha Jane Carter was born March 8, 1862; departed this life January 1, 1944; age 81 years, ten months and seven days.
She professed faith in Christ in her youth and joined' the Primitive Baptist Church at Burk's Union. She was a faithful member as long as she was able to go.
In departing, she leaves six children (three bovs and three giirls), 38, grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
We miss our Mother, but we believe she is at rest from her troubles and trials, so rest on, Mother.
