Mary Kate Frazier Clark, 96, Gray, TN passed away, Friday, September 30, 2011 at the Life Care Center, Gray, TN.
Mrs. Clark was born in Scott County, VA on July 31, 1915, the daughter of the late Victor Lee and Lela Mae Cox Frazier.
Some of her greatest joys were spending time with her family and friends, gardening, and raising her beautiful flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Talmage Ray Clark (1998); son, Clyde Ray Clark (1945); daughter, Mary Magdalene Reeves (2011); and son-in-law, Daniel Harrison Sword (2004).
Surviving is her daughter, Elsie Mae Sword, Kernersville, NC; sons, Talmage Rossco Clark and wife, Norma Faye, Gray, TN and Hubert Carl Clark and wife, Goldie, Erie, PA; 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; son-in-law, Donald H. Reeves, Kingsport, TN; and many friends.
The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m., Sunday, October 2, 2011 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Leroy Fleenor officiating. By the Way of the Cross will provide the music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 3, 2011 at the Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.

Appalachia—Nathaniel Martin Frazier, 97, Callahan Ave. died in a Norton hospital at 8:05 a.m. Friday. In the grocery business in Appalachia for 57 years, he had continued to work right up until two or three weeks before he died. He was a charter member of Appalachia Methodist church and a member of Appalachia Masonic Lodge No 229. Surviving are sons Claude and Elmo Frazier, both of Appalachia; daughters, Mrs. Ethel Hutchinson, Henderson, N. C., Mrs. Ackie Miller, Knoxville; Mrs. Ruth Miller, Richmond; and Misses Nila and Maire Frazier, Appalachia; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Appalachia Methodist Church. The Rev. D. Trigg James, Jr. will conduct the service. Burial will be in the American Legion Cemetery near Big Stone Gap with Masonic rites at the grave. The body will be taken to the church one hour before the funeral home the Roy A. Green Funeral Home.5

She was also a Holy Land Pilgrim and involved in mission work in Africa, South America and Europe.
She served on many boards including YWCA, eleven years on the Virginia Intermont College Board, Girls Inc. and several years on the board of Visitors at King College.
She loved her Lord, her family, her church, her many friends and U.T. football.
Survivors include her son, Bryan Moneyhun; step-children, Kenneth Henard and wife, Lura; Kay Whiten; Ronda Buchanan and husband, Bob; and Katherine Wiles and husband, Dennis; sister-in-law, Jean Rich; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren at age 81.5
