Eleanor M. Cox was also known as Ellen M. Cox.3 She was born on 5, 1860 at Scott, Virginia, US,Her age in several records varied and was not consistent. Census records through 1880 are consistent, but in 1900 the age begins to change. In 1910 the census shows an age of 36, which is nearly 14 years less than one would expect. Her age on her marriage certificate was 61, but one would expect it to actually be 66.The 1930 census reflects an age of 65 when records would suggest she was 70. Her death certificate shows age 75 and we would expect she was 79.Her tombstone shows a birthdate of 7 Mar 1864.1,4,5 Her married name was Ellen McClellan.3
