Mrs. Louetta Hunter was born May 16, 1888 in the Blackwater section of Virginia, and departed this life July 29, 1942, at the age of 54 years.
She was united in marriage to John C. Hunter, and to this union eight children were born, two of whom preceded her in death.
Surviving are her husband, John C. Hunter; four daughters, Mrs. Mattie Thompson, Hazel and Martha Hunter, all of Rictor; and Mrs.Velma Bruff of Wasco, California; two sons, Paul Hunter, in the 'United States Army, Leesville, Louisiana; and Oscar Hunter, Catron Missouri; her mothe, Martha Jane Carter, of Kingsport, Tennessee;
three sisters, Maxie Gilreath; Myrtle Bledsoe, and Virgie Gilreath; 'two brothers, McKinley Carter and Edgar Carter; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was converted and joined the Primitive Baptist Church at Zion, now Burk's Union at the age pf 15, and remained a true Christian until death.
She was a devoted companion and a loving mother, always wearing a smile and speaking kind words to all her many friends.
Funeral services wereheld at Union Rome Church at 1:00 p. m.,
Friday, July 31 conducted by Brother Henry Duffell, assisted by Brother S. J. Runyon. Burial was in Mitchell Cemetery; in charge of Russell Mortuary. at age 54.²
