Cox; son, Mike Cox; step-daughter, Sue Cox; daughter-in-law Glenda Cox; the father of her children, Glen Cox; siblings, Clyde Haynes (Edna), Lucille Jennings (Clarence), Dorothy McKenzie (Ray), Monnie Babb (Johnny), Jay Haynes (Shirley), June Peters (Carl) and an infant brothers, John and Roy Haynes.
Edith is survived by her children, Jim Cox (Phyllis), Sandra Greenwell (Terry) and Patti Kestner (Danny); brother, Glenn Haynes (Gladys); grandchildren, Steven Cox, Jonathan Cox, Nathan Cox, Lori Templeton, Michael Cox, Patrick Cox, Marina Cox, Anna Greene and Melanie Deel; 12 great-grandchildren, Kaden, McKenzie, Kamryn, Karlie, Korbin, Katelyn, Ethan, Matthew, Jackson, Samuel, Lori, Travis and Hannah; 3 great-great-grandchildren, Jocelyn, Bennett and Isaiah; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Gate City United Methodist Church.
A funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. at the church with Rev. Jim Cox and Rev. Gordon McBride officiating.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 18, 2018 at Holston View Cemetery. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:55 a.m. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
