Charles Allen Culbertson, age 56 of Pennington Gap, VA entered into rest at Indian Path Medical Center on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was a 1977 graduate of Pennington High School and a former employee of Powell Mountain Coal Company as a prep plant operator. Allen is preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Culbertson, brother, Roger Culbertson. Paternal grand parents Mark and Nellie Culbertson, grandmother Laura Jean Culbertson. Maternal grand parents Frank and Goldie Garrett. Mother-in-law Wanda Lundy and a special friend, John Haynes.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Jackie Culbertson, and one son Cody Culbertson both of the home. Father, Charles Culbertson, brother David Culbertson and wife Karen. Father-in-law Eddie Lundy, sister-in-laws, Tammy Garrett and husband Kelly, Kimberly Wilkinson and husband Steve. Stacy Alsup and husband Greg. Nephews, Jacob Napier, Joshua Campbell and Lucas Alsup. Great-niece, Isabella Napier. Several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

Charles Allen Culbertson, age 56 of Pennington Gap, VA entered into rest at Indian Path Medical Center on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was a 1977 graduate of Pennington High School and a former employee of Powell Mountain Coal Company as a prep plant operator. Allen is preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Culbertson, brother, Roger Culbertson. Paternal grand parents Mark and Nellie Culbertson, grandmother Laura Jean Culbertson. Maternal grand parents Frank and Goldie Garrett. Mother-in-law Wanda Lundy and a special friend, John Haynes.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Jackie Culbertson, and one son Cody Culbertson both of the home. Father, Charles Culbertson, brother David Culbertson and wife Karen. Father-in-law Eddie Lundy, sister-in-laws, Tammy Garrett and husband Kelly, Kimberly Wilkinson and husband Steve. Stacy Alsup and husband Greg. Nephews, Jacob Napier, Joshua Campbell and Lucas Alsup. Great-niece, Isabella Napier. Several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
