Survivors include her daughters, Betty Salyer and husband, Myron, Nickelsville, Va., Bobbie Farmer and husband, Don, Norton, Va., Margaret Meade and husband, Joe, Nickelsville, Va; sons and daughter-in-law, Johnny Flanary and wife, Jayne, Catawba, Va., and Charles "Chuck" Flanary and wife, Reba, Bluff City, and daughter-in-law, Barbara Flanary; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Gate City Funeral Home.
Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel with Rev. Steve Collins and Rev. Joe Barber officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, Va.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Sam Farmer, Steven Farmer, Brian Flanary, Darrell Meade, Chuck Flanary, Jr., Rodney Urbani.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jack McCarty, Tony Jarman, Butch Hutchinson, and Billy Jack Cox.
The family will meet at 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.

     Eva Lee Cox Fondaw, 80, of 3309 Ketron Drive, Kingsport, passed away Thursday (April 8, 2004) at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Coeburn, Va., she had been a resident of the Kingsport area for the past 75 years. She was a member of State Line Baptist Church and Teamsters Local #534. Eva Lee was a member of the Bristol Pea Pickers Square Dance Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin David and Vesta Smith Cox; one sister, Jaynell Henard; two brothers, Randall and Willard Cox.
Fondaw Survivors include her husband, Edward L. Fondaw; one daughter, Pat and husband Garnie Christian of Kingsport; one granddaughter, Sabra Kerznar of Bradenton, Fla; one grandson, Joel Christian of Bradenton, Fla; five great-grandchildren, Kaelyn Paulson-Christian, Cameron Christian and Cole Christian, Kya Kerznar and Koye Kerznar, all of Bradenton, Fla; two brothers, Howard J. Cox and Fred Cox, both of Kingsport; one uncle, John Henry Cox, Weber City, Va; several nieces and nephews.8,2

     He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Cox retired as a manager from Sprint Telephone Company with 40 years of service. He enjoyed playing golf, competed in the Senior Olympics and delivering Meals on Wheels.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Cox was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Fletcher Cox; son, Mark Stevens Cox; brothers, Willard Cox and Randall Cox; sisters, Jaynell Henard and Eva Lee Fondaw.

     Surviving are his loving wife of 27 years, Helen Cox; daughter, Kim Lane and husband, Terry; son, Terry Lynn Cox and wife, Terri; step daughter, Melissa Robinson; grandchildren, Weston Montgomery, Jesse Lane and fiancé, Shelby, Dalton Lane and Carson Lane; great grandson, Fletcher Lane; brother, Howard Cox and wife, Dora and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

     Military Committal Rites will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, May 7, 2016 in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel at Oak Hill Funeral and Cremation Services by the American Legion Post #3 and Post #265 with Rev. J. Spurgeon McCartt officiating. Entombment will be in Oak Hill II Mausoleum.

     A Celebration of Life Gathering will begin at 4:00 pm Saturday, May 7, 2016 in the Fellowship Hall at Mafair United Methodist Church, 1409 E. Center St., Kingsport, TN 37664.

     The family would like to extend a special thank you to Doctors and Nurses of Smokey Mountain Hospice, Veterans Administration Hospital and the Christian Care Center.
