Later in life he worked as a foreman for Eastman Kodak, a chemical manufacturer in Kingsport.5,3 He married Sarah Dingus, daughter of Elizabeth (?), on Feb 5, 1904 at Scott, Virginia, US, service perfomed by Dr. Henry Taylor.5,6 Emmett Jonathan Duncan registered for the draft on Sep 12, 1918 at Scott, Virginia, US. He was of medium height and build with brown hair and eyes.4 He was living at Route 6 East Carter Valley Rd, Kingsport, Sullivan, Tennessee, US.3 E.J. Duncan had his own family baseball team in the 1930s consisting of all his sons. They never loast a game. Commanders were Colonel Warren M. Hopkins, Lieutenant Colonel Henry A. Edmundson, and Major Sylvester R. McConnell.

Company C was led by Captain James S. Collings on Aug 16, 1862 at Virginia, US.3,4,5 He died in May, 1879 at Scott, Virginia, US.6,7 He was buried at Green / Redmond Cemetery, East Stone Gap, Scott, Virginia, US.4
