This woman took care of me off and on until I was almost 16 years old. Her mother was Mary Elizabeth Dingus daughter of Thomas Jefferson Dingus and Miara Babb Dingus. She was wonderful and could do anything from old time cures & medicines to making soap during hog killing season, curing country hams and ringing chickens necks until she was 80 years old. She would pluck'em, boil water to wash and skin them, gut them and pan fry the best chicken in Southwest Virginia and East Tennessee. I still think about her all the time. I am Karl R.
